The ninth annual Stuff the Bus Food Drive took place at nine participating grocery stores in Allegan County during the month of July. Food and personal care items were collected during the drive and distributed to local food pantries to help families in need.
The final results are in, and Allegan County United Way is proud to announce that more than $25,000 in cash, food and personal care items were donated this year. This is an increase of more than $10,000 over the amount of donations received last year. We would like to thank our generous community as well as the 152 volunteers who gave 182 hours of their time during the drive.
The annual food drive is a collaborative effort of Allegan County United Way, Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative, local school districts and area grocery stores.
