Impact

Greater Ottawa County United Way supports, develops and implements a range of impact solutions that improve lives and create stronger communities.

Last year, 70,000+ people in Ottawa County were impacted by our 48 funded programs and partnerships.

United Way takes a research-based approach to our work. We start by working with many people and organizations to produce the Community Assessment for Ottawa County every three years. From the research done as part of the assessment, United Way has identified four impact areas where we focus our work: Education, Financial Stability/Basic Needs, Health and Affordable Housing.

Through the Community Investment (CI) process, United Way funds 48 programs run by local nonprofit organizations located in Ottawa County.

We also collaborate and develop initiatives, programs and collaboratives to identify and meet needs not addressed by currently existing programs funded in the CI process.
